Roger Simon
M.Sc., D.I.C., C.Geol., F.G.S

Roger graduated in geology from London University in 1965 and gained a Masters degree in Mining Geology and Mineral Exploration in 1972. After 6 years working in South Africa and Australia as a mining and exploration geologist, he joined Tarmac Quarry Products in 1972. He was appointed Chief Geologist for Tarmac Roadstone Eastern in 1983 and Estates Manager for the East Midlands Company in 1989. During his employment with Tarmac, Roger worked extensively overseas on a range of new quarry projects in the United States, Middle East and Far East. Roger joined Geoplan in September 1991.
